I put up this site today using GitHub pages for hosting and version control. I’m trying out Jekyll for content transformation and templating. There are several options for this sort of thing, but GitHub pages itself is deeply integrated with Jekyll, there’s nice support for working locally, and the ability to create nice-looking pages in simple Markdown is great.

Obviously the site’s a bit austere at the moment, but the scaffolding is up and henceforward I’ll be able to add content easily. Not bad.
